How to set music saving parameters?

This article is for advanced MySpace music downloaders. It describes how to set music grabbing parameters to optimize MP3 files output. If you are not MP3 expert, you can just ignore this article. Default settings are good enough.

So, main parameters of MP3 files that affect the quality are bit rate and sampling rate. In some words, as more bit rate and sampling frequency, is better music. However, downloaded music can not be better than original music uploaded to MySpace by artist. That is why you have to select required bit rate and sampling rate based on your perception. If you think that downloaded music sounds worse than original one from MySpace profile, you have to increase bit rate and / or sampling frequency. If you think that resulted file is too large (for example, if you plan to listen it from mobile device), you can decrease bit rate or sampling frequency and see effect.

Generally sampling frequency 44.1 kHz (default) is used by most audio CDs and enough for your needs. MySpace music bit rate of is near 128 - 192 kbit/s (128 is default value in MySpace MP3 downloader).

MySpace MP3 Downloader can also download MySpace music "as is" without any compression and data lost. Select WAV format to save uncompressed music. However, such music requires extremely large disk space.
